Inspired primarily by the
little known movie, "The Commitments," from the 80's about the
creation, career and eventual fall of a soul band in Dublin, Ireland, The
Midnight Ramblers carry on The Commitments' mantra as
"The Saviors of Soul." The movie proved that the great Motown
and Stax/Volt era of music is still relevant and fun.

Additionally, the SNL classic comedy,
"The
Blues Brothers" reinforced that upbeat, big band blues is not a thing
of the past. The energy brought to a show by this type of music, while
still maintaining musical integrity and delivering a wall of sound as a
group, is very attractive to The Midnight
Ramblers.

By reviving almost
forgotten music, and bringing it to the masses with a slightly updated
take, our
goal has always been to have fun so that the audience does too.
While we take our craft very seriously, we do not take ourselves
seriously at all.

OR GET OUT!"

A note from our founding
member...
Forming and holding together this project has
been an exciting, frustrating, difficult, and joyous experience all made
worth while by the times when we get to get on stage in front of an
appreciative audience and do our thing.
Not only do we
work well together, but more importantly we play well together.
While rehearsals are a time to accomplish, I think everyone looks
forward to spending the time with each other.
None of us are the best musicians you're ever
going to see, but together we really feel that we've got something very
special. We put on the kind of show that I would want to come see
again and again. I
hope you will too.
